Payment & Refund Policy

At Woke Tattoo Studio, we aim to make our pricing and payment process as clear as possible before you commit to a service.
This Payment & Refund Policy explains how payments, deposits, cancellations, and refunds may be handled.
This policy should be read together with our Booking & Appointment Policy and any specific terms communicated to you before your booking.
Pricing
Our prices may vary depending on factors such as:
- The size of the tattoo.
- The complexity of the design.
- The tattoo style.
- The placement.
- The amount of detail.
- The estimated time required.
- The number of sessions required.
- The artist providing the service.
- Whether the service is provided at the studio or as part of a mobile experience.
Where possible, we will provide pricing information or an estimate before your appointment.
A final price may change if the scope of the project changes.
2. Quotations
A quotation is based on the information available to us at the time it is provided.
If you make significant changes to your design, size, placement, or project requirements, the original quotation may no longer apply.
We will communicate significant changes to the expected price before proceeding where reasonably possible.
3. Booking Deposits
A 50% booking deposit is required to secure a confirmed appointment. The deposit is applied toward the final cost of the agreed service.
4. Deposit Terms
Booking deposits are non-refundable, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law and cannot legally be excluded.
One reschedule is allowed when you contact Woke Tattoo Studio at least 24 hours before the agreed appointment time. The deposit transfers to the replacement appointment, which must take place within 90 days of the original appointment date and remains subject to availability.
If you give less than 24 hours’ notice, do not attend, request another reschedule, or do not use the transferred deposit within 90 days, the deposit is forfeited and a new 50% deposit is required before another appointment can be confirmed. These terms remain subject to any consumer rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
5. Payment Methods
Woke Tattoo Studio accepts cash, EFT or bank transfer, debit and credit cards, Instant EFT, secure mobile or card payment links, and eWallet.
Any of these methods may be used for both the required 50% booking deposit and the remaining balance. No accepted method is restricted to only one stage of payment.
Where a payment provider charges a processing fee and that fee may lawfully be recovered from the customer, the amount will be disclosed before payment and passed on only with the customer’s knowledge.
Please use only official payment details or payment links supplied by Woke Tattoo Studio. If you are unsure whether a payment request is legitimate, contact us directly before making payment.
6. Refunds
Woke Tattoo Studio does not offer refunds once payment has been made, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable South African law and cannot legally be excluded.
If Woke Tattoo Studio cancels an appointment or cannot provide the agreed service, you may choose to transfer the full deposit to a new date or request a full refund.
Where a refund is legally required or otherwise approved, the method and timing may depend on the original payment method and relevant payment provider.
7. Changes to a Tattoo Project
If you significantly change your tattoo concept after a quotation or deposit has been provided, additional costs may apply.
We will discuss any material changes with you before proceeding where reasonably possible.
8. Promotions and Special Offers
Promotional offers may have specific terms, eligibility requirements, expiry dates, or limitations.
Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot automatically be combined with other discounts or offers. Specific promotional terms will apply where provided.
